As per Wiki: Albuquerque Public Schools (APS), situated in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was established in 1891 and stands as the largest among the 89 public school districts in the state.
With a total of 143 schools and approximately 70,000 students in 2022, it ranks as one of the largest school districts in the United States.
APS operates a diverse range of schools, including 88 elementary schools, 5 K-8 schools, 28 middle schools, 20 high schools, 31 charter schools, and alternative educational institutions.
Additionally, APS owns KANW radio station and shares ownership of KNME-TV and KNMD-TV with the University of New Mexico.
The district primarily serves Bernalillo County, with a few exceptions like Barton, a part of Manzano Springs, and a section of Sedillo.
APS also extends its services to a portion of Sandoval County, specifically in the town of Corrales.
